– Membranes for Nanofiltration-
Nanosheet materials have various electrical, chemical, and physical properties depending on the crystal structure and constituent elements of the material. In addition, 2D materials with high surface area and pore structure are considered to be ideal materials for the separation process, catalyst, adsorbent, membrane, and so on. Unlike conventional functional particles having a three-dimensional structure, the two-dimensional material is advantageous for producing an ultra-thin film with a thickness of several tens of nanometers due to its flat structure. We are seeking new synthesis methods, mass production technology, and characterization of 2D materials, accompanied by developing new applications. In particular, we are applying the new materials for energy-environment-related devices and applications including Li/rare metal recovery, Li battery, organic solvent treatment/purification, and gas separations
