– Electrochemical Energy Storage devices- 

Through an interdisciplinary collaboration, we combine synthetic prowess and electrochemical expertise in the design and realization of proton conducting battery based on small organic molecule electrolytes. The aim is to develop light weight battery on par with the current Li-ion technology in terms of energy density, while free of explosion hazard. The collaboration also will attempt to tackle other problems of current generation battery technology, such as slow charging rates and small operable temperature window.
